How SYNSTEC’s AquaChar is Cleaning Up Our Oceans

· Education,AquaChar

Tackling invisible river pollution with sustainable technology and every Ocean Cleanup Begins Upstream.

Plastic bottles and bags aren’t the only threats to our oceans. Microplastics, mercury, insecticides, and sewage flow invisibly into waterways, poisoning ecosystems and marine life. At SYNSTEC, we believe true ocean protection starts at the source—before pollutants reach the sea.

That’s why we’re launching the River Guardian Initiative—a sustainable solution using our patented AquaChar media to capture invisible toxins from rivers.

Introducing the River Guardian Initiative
Using SYNSTEC’s AquaChar-Infused Nets and Pole Filters, we capture the pollutants that most cleanups miss:

  • Microplastics
  • Heavy metals (like mercury)
  • Pesticides and insecticides
  • Sewage by-products

How It Works
Nets & Pole Filters: Capture microplastics and large contaminants.
AquaChar Media: Absorbs toxins and removes heavy metals from water.
IoT Monitoring: Provides real-time data on water quality and pollution levels.

Why Start in Guatemala?
The Rio Motagua in Guatemala is one of the largest sources of ocean pollution in the Caribbean. Local communities suffer from contaminated drinking water and loss of marine biodiversity. While The Ocean Cleanup removes visible plastics downstream, we’ll target invisible threats upstream.

The Science Behind AquaChar
SYNSTEC’s patented AquaChar is a sustainable filtration media made from renewable resources. Here’s why it’s revolutionary:
• Dual Action: Filters out toxins and fosters beneficial microbes to restore ecosystems.
• Eco-Friendly: Made from renewable materials and fully biodegradable.
• Circular Economy: Used AquaChar can be repurposed to enrich agricultural soils.

Our Impact Goals:

  1. Cleaner Oceans: Stop toxins before they reach marine ecosystems.
  2. Healthier Rivers: Restore biodiversity in local waterways.
  3. Empowered Communities: Reuse AquaChar to improve local agricultural productivity.
  4. Open Data: Provide real-time results on our pollution removal rates.
    Let’s Protect the Ocean—Together

We can't do this alone. We're seeking partners (NGOs, investors, local authorities, +) to join us in scaling the River Guardian Initiative. Together, we can create cleaner rivers, healthier communities, and a brighter future for our oceans.
